Silver lining: This Virus could be a “wake up call”. We are learning to be more courteous, conscious, cleaner and respectful of others.
Have you ever wondered why your medical doctor or specialists rarely get sick? … or your President? … or other powers to be? Hmmmm … is there a secret? How are “they” practicing prevention?
My suggestion is: Practice prevention with regard to one’s own health. There are several Health Gurus I like and follow and believe in their teachings. In this Blog, I want to concentrate on the advice of one such Guru, Mark Pegram, that can help you get over the common cold, sniffles AND protect you from the Corona Virus.

Instead of paraphrasing Mark Pegram’s words, I am providing you with this link. You may read his work in its entirety. As a result of Mark’s post, I am increasing/adding Vitamin D3, Vitamin C, Zinc, and Magnesium to my prevention regime.
If you are on an autoimmune suppressant drug, (which most chemo drugs are) Do Not follow this protocol. It could cause death. Check with your doctor. The above protocol is designed to enhance your immune system to fight off disease by making your body stronger. The autoimmune suppressant drugs make your immune system weak.
The famous Dr. Linus Pauling would take 1 gram of Vitamin C every hour until his nose stopped running. (Cure for runny nose)
Maintain good hygiene; be positive by nature, courteous and respectful of others; practice the following, to become the healthiest possible: (Make your immune system strong! Avoid illness.)
- Get 8 hours of sleep each night
- Wash your fingers, frequently.
- Sneeze or cough into a tissue, then discard it.
- Sneeze or cough into a cloth, then wash it.
- Hydrate! Consume a minimum of 100 ounces of water daily (if you weight 200 lbs.)
- Eat pure, organic, non-gmo, non-processed foods.
- Aim for 80% of you food to be raw (100% is difficult).
- Be well, sing, laugh, love and be happy. Tomorrow is a new day! This, too, shall pass!
You may ask, “If this simple solution can keep you well from colds, virus and flu, why is no one on the news spreading this good word?” Why is “washing the hands” the only solution of prevention mentioned? Actually, I heard on the news yesterday that Vitamins could not protect you from being ill. I was flabbergasted! I challenge you, practice this regime for 2 days. I know that you will see a major difference quickly, but maybe you need to prove it to yourself. What do you have to lose? You will be pleasantly surprised!
Sadly, our economy does not “thrive” by people being well. Our USA makes a lot of money off of Cancer, Heart, Diabetes and other inflammatory diseases. Americans have the worst diet of people from all around the World. Ours is a diet of convenience … fast, processed, often junk … anything to trick our stomachs into feeling full.
We, the People, rely on pharmaceutical medications rather than taking responsibility for our health. Many Americans are lazy and often ignorant with regard to health and nutrition or simply just don’t care. I have even heard people say, “Well, I have to die of something”. Personally, I want to be healthy, strong and energetic up until that time!
CoVid-19, aka Corona Virus, has just about made our area into a ghost town. People are afraid, are hoarding, are probably eating an increased amount of “depression” type foods and loads of sugar. Some will become depressed and many will begin to feel desperate and some may even be suicidal.
We probably have at least 6 more weeks of this down time. Schools, sports, restaurants, theatres, offices have closed. Some people are using this time to their advantage. Some are spending time with their families. Some are finding new ways to be creative. Some are bonding with neighbors and communities and coming to each other in aid.
I truly hope and pray that YOU are safe, well and will not die from the Corona Virus. Personally, I choose to practice prevention at this time. I went to the drug store today and purchased the vitamins and began taking them.

I was very sick twice last year, 2019, in January and February. I became depressed, anxious discouraged and frustrated. I thought I was healthy. I was eating well, exercising and practicing good habits. Why was I getting flu like symptoms, no energy, compromised immune system, etc. ?
I called an intelligent/well-informed friend to share my deepest concerns of my health. “Why has my immune system gone kaput?!” She recommended a book, “Dirty Electricity” and asked me if I had read anything about EMF poisoning?
Yes, I had heard of EMFs but paid little attention. After reading several books, articles, etc., I learned that the EMFs play havoc with one’s immune system. This made sense to me. I had some bad habits. I took electricity for granted without thinking of any negative side affects it could be causing. After I read this powerful little book, I became aware and decided to do an experiment on myself!
Now, I unplug EVERYTHING (possible) in my house when I am not using it. I rarely use the microwave any more. My sleeping area is EMF free and I opted out of the Smart Meter on the back of my house. I understand, once the 5G technology is available (great for convenience, btw), it will be very difficult to escape the harmful side effects of the EMFs.
I have caught a lot of flack from sharing information of EMF poisoning. I also understand I have been around the block a few more times than most people … especially, more times than those who were born into a world of technology.
I lived in a time before computers and mobile phones and television. We had phones with a cord and a dialing apparatus; party lines that we shared with several other families and snail mail; cars that used gasoline only; highways with top speed limits of 55 mph (without Interstate Highways). Scotch tape was a luxury. Milk “cartons” were made of glass. Egg yolks were golden. Chickens were small. People used handkerchiefs to prevent germs from spreading when sneezing or coughing. People used water and soap instead of hand sanitizers. People had manners and treated each other with warmth and respect.
Before 1930, most people did not have electricity and cancer was rare. Most common diseases of today were non-existent. People ate food they grew and animals they raised. Cannabis was a sacred herb used to heal almost everything. Now our society lives on speed and greed with the Government and big Pharma mostly in charge of our well being and our education.
Maybe this CoVid-19 is a wakeup call to slow everything down and make/help people begin thinking for themselves … questioning the “powers to be” and taking responsibility for their own actions, health and well being.
We cannot change how things are, but we can change ourselves and our way of looking at the world … our world. In the process, perhaps we can heal.

My immune system is stronger now. I feel confident and safer. Although, my immune system is stronger, I am still practicing prevention with regard to the CoVid-19 virus. I used to double up on probiotics during the winter months. When I get a sniffle, I take Echinacea with Goldenseal. I sometimes (not often) treat people in my office who come in sick. Bronchitis was very contagious for me. Recently, if I hear a cough or sneeze, I put a mask on just to feel a little safer.
I hope CoVid-19 soon becomes a memory of the past (just like other SARS viruses I have lived through). I hope the idea of using food for nutrition and healing goes viral. I hope people can learn to self medicate by taking care of themselves and being good to their body.
If our food were pure (as in the days of old before Big Pharma and Monsanto), we would not have to rely so much on Vitamin and Mineral supplements. We could simply consume the nutritious foods. The aging process would be more kind to us. Disease would probably be more rare.

Interesting part of history: The Black Plague of 1348, aka “The Bubonic Plague”
Have you ever heard of “Thieves Oil”? I love Thieves Oil. I use it to clean, wash my hands and vegetables. It smells of cloves and other aromatic herbs. It is much healthier than hand sanitizers. You can make it into a spray.
The history of thieves oil is from the time of the Black Plague. The rulers made prisoners (with lives of little value) go into the houses of the sick to retrieve the dead bodies. The prisoners made a concoction of herbs, spices and oils and anointed themselves before entering the houses. No one wanted to go into those houses. The prisoners, protected by the oils and herbs, never contracted the plague, became thieves collecting monies and valuables left behind by the sick and dead! Thus, the name of this powerful potion known as “Thieves Oil” (sold by a company called, “Young Living Essential Oils“).
While reading about the Black Plague Doctors, I learned the doctors put herbs into their masks before administering to the ill. The reason for the long, bird-like bill was to scare away evil spirits.
This story proves the power of herbs and natural remedies for healing and well being [smiles].
