Superfood Smoothie

Our Superfood Smoothie Drink is very popular with many of our clients. The simple recipe allows me to maximize the number of raw food servings I eat per day. This powerful drink builds the immune system, strengthens the blood and gives you more energy.

 Superfood Smoothie

Add Fruit to fill  1/2  the blender (My Favorites):

  •  Banana
  • Apple
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Superfood powder *, 1 spoon  (contains Spirulina)

Add Green Veggies to fill the other   1/2   (Examples):

  • Spinach
  • Kale
  • Romaine Lettuce
  • Swiss Chard

Other Optional Ingredients:

    • Bell Peppers
    • Broccoli
    • Asparagus
    • Carrots
    • Squash
    • Kiwi (clean skin and all)
    • Almond Milk
    • Honey
    • Almonds
    • Ginger Root
    • Ground Organic Flax seeds
    • Chia Seeds
    • Ice

You may add 1-2 cups of water to the mixture to blend it. I add 1/2 cup of Almond milk for flavoring, but this is not necessary. Adding an extra cup of water turns the smoothie into a fruit “drink” rather than smoothie. Some people also like the option of adding ice.

* I added the Superfood Powder over the past 10 years, as a measure of disease and illness prevention.  The raw foods and sea veggies give me energy, a better immune system and improved eye site. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. Good motto…

For many years, I made this blended fruit drink with only fruit and Superfood Powder. More recently, I decided it would be a good idea to put more calcium into my diet, so I added the green, leafy vegetables.   Then I began adding a variety of different veggies to my diet.  Eating raw food, gives me more energy.

Our digestive system benefits from the enzymes in raw fruits and veggies.  Cooking, smoking, and caffeine destroys many vitamins and nutrients in our food.
